Professional Challenge
Imagine that you are a digital project manager working with a team that aims to develop a cross-border digital rights initiative. Your task is to explore different funding and cooperation pathways and decide which approach best fits your project idea.
Below are three possible strategic directions your team could take:
Pathway A – Local Experiment (European Solidarity Corps)
You start with a Solidarity Project to test your idea in your local community. This allows you to develop and refine the concept on a smaller scale before expanding internationally.
Pathway B – European Cooperation (Erasmus+ KA210)
You build a partnership with organisations in different countries, for example Estonia and Portugal, and apply for a Small-Scale Partnership to collaboratively develop and test your platform.
Pathway C – Values-Based Initiative (European Youth Foundation)
You focus on aligning your project with human rights, democracy, and digital ethics principles, applying for support to develop a pilot activity with a strong values-based framework.
Task
Reflect on the three pathways and choose the one that best fits your project idea and approach.
In 5–8 sentences, explain your choice. You may refer to programme names (ESC, KA210, EYF), but the focus should be on your reasoning rather than technical accuracy alone.
After reading at least one peer response, identify a different pathway they chose and briefly comment on what additional opportunities or strengths it could offer.
