| Attribution | Can I name the source specifically? A region or a continent is not a source. |
| Benefit | If this succeeds, does anything flow back? Money, visibility, documentation, relationship — something. |
| Conversation | Would I be comfortable describing exactly what I did, to the people I took it from, in person? |
And the rule for restricted material: if you do not know whether something is restricted, you do not yet know enough to use it. Ask — and if there is nobody to ask, that is the answer.
