A partnership is much more than simply working together. It is a relationship built around a shared objective, where each partner contributes something valuable.

Unlike traditional volunteering, where a volunteer mainly supports an organisation's activities, partnerships encourage active collaboration. Both sides exchange ideas, share responsibilities, solve problems together, and contribute their own expertise.

Partnerships can exist at many levels. A young person may work with a local youth centre to organise an event. Several NGOs may cooperate on an Erasmus+ project. Municipalities, schools, businesses, and community organisations may also become partners when they share a common goal.

Successful partnerships do not require equal resources from everyone. One organisation may provide expertise, another may offer volunteers, while a third contributes meeting space or communication support. What matters is that everyone understands their role and works towards the same objective.

Think about it

A strong partnership is not measured by how much each partner contributes, but by how well different contributions complement one another.
