Civic expression means communicating ideas, values, and opinions that are connected to the life of a community or society. In the past, civic expression happened mostly in public spaces such as schools, local councils, or community meetings. Today, much of it happens online.
Digital tools give young people new opportunities to express themselves as citizens. They are fast, accessible, and creative. A simple Instagram post can reach thousands of people. A short video can inspire debate in a school or community. A podcast can give a voice to people who are usually not heard.
