"Welcome back! Now that we know what a project is, let’s talk about its journey.
Every single project—whether it’s a local cleanup or a major international event—travels through the exact same four phases of the Project Lifecycle.
Let’s trace this journey step-by-step:
· Phase 1: Initiation (The Vision). This is where the spark happens. You find a problem in your community, brainstorm solutions, and define your main vision. Your goal here is to answer one question: Is this project actually possible and necessary?
· Phase 2: Planning (The Blueprint). This is the focus of our entire course! This is where you design your roadmap. You set clear goals, break down big tasks, assign roles, and map out your timeline. You build the plan before taking action.
· Phase 3: Execution (The Action). This is where the plan comes to life. The team starts working on their tasks. As a coordinator, your job is to track progress, keep communication smooth, and solve problems as they pop up.
· Phase 4: Closeout & Reflection (The Impact). A project never just stops when the event ends. In this final phase, you measure your success, submit reports, and reflect with your team on lessons learned. This ensures your project leaves a real, long-term impact.
Every phase is essential. Skipping even one is how great ideas turn into total chaos.
Now that you know the lifecycle, you are ready to practice! Complete the final quiz, open your Project Canvas, and let’s start building!"
