"Hi everyone, and welcome to your very first official lesson! I’m Keti Mikeladze, a Youth Project Coordinator at a non-profit organization in Georgia, and I will be your trainer throughout this course.

I have been planning and organizing projects for about 5 years, mostly youth initiatives for small communities, and I am glad that I can share my experience with you all. Before we start building complex timelines or budgets, we need to lay a solid foundation an understand our basics in project planning.

In this session, we are going to demystify what a project actually is, why structured planning is your absolute best weapon against team burnout, and how every initiative moves through a universal lifecycle.

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to:

1.     Formally separate a temporary project from ongoing operational work.

2.     Navigate and explain the four major phases of the project lifecycle.

3.     Adopt a structured planning mindset for your youth-led social initiatives.

So, let’s dive in ans start the course!"
