Section outline

  • Hello everyone from the Angor AG team.

This internal course is intended for the partners of the SINFT consortium, specifically for the creators of the content that will be integrated into the SINFT courses.

The educational part of the SINFT platform is based on Moodle LMS (which is heavily  customized for SINFT 's needs). Here, we outline the usual and most frequently used ways (in Moodle terminology: resources and activities) to integrate content into the courses.

On our end, the courses will already be set up according to the MOOC content plan (structure, description, etc.). The content creators (again, based on the MOOC content plan) will be assigned the role of "Teacher" for their respective courses, giving them complete control over the course.

In most cases, the course content is created collaboratively by different members. Please be careful to work only on your designated part of the course; because of the Teacher role, you will have access to the content of other creators in the course, and vice versa.

This introduction also includes the initial instructional video for uploading materials, which covers almost all aspects of course creation. In the lessons below, the different methods of content integration are presented individually, along with additional links if you need more information.

Poraka Nova has created a dedicated Google account where you will upload the videos and presentations (Google Slides) that are part of the course content and pull up from there to integrate into course (it will be described in bellow sections how to do this). The account username and password can be found in the first message of this course's forum.

We considered the best approach for handling potential questions, additional explanations and other inquiries related to uploading materials, and we believe the best method is through the forum, which is part of this section.

If you have a question or comment, please post it on the forum. We will answer as quickly as possible, and the information will be visible to all other creators.

    • Ask here any question related to courses content creation and integration.

  • BASIC INFO & NAVIGATION

In this section, you will find a description of what awaits you when you log into the platform as a teacher for specific courses.

All courses outlined in the MOOC content plan will be created on the platform in the following manner:

    • Ready course structure (entered module titles and corresponding lessons, as in MOOC Content plan)

    • Entered course description (a copy from the MOOC content plan)

    • Assigned users in the role of teachers (according to the MOOC content plan)

Your role as content creators will be to input the created content into the appropriate places within the course.

The specially created "Testing Area" category contains this course as well as separately created courses for each organization (featuring a real structure and an already inserted lesson) with assigned teachers from the appropiate organization.

Here, you can test uploading materials, see how the lesson materials are inserted, etc.

The next video demonstrates all the previously described aspects of this section, while the subsequent videos individually showcase the most common methods for uploading materials into the course.

If you have any questions regarding the creation and uploading of content, please post them on the forum at the beginning of this course.

  • TYPES OF CONTENT MATERIALS

In this section, the most commonly used types of materials that can be added as content to the course elements are described.

    These types of materials include:

All of their combinations are also possible; i.e., a single course element can contain a combination of text and video, a combination of text and multiple images, just a presentation, etc.

  • CONTENT BUILDING ELEMENTS

In this part of the course, we cover the most commonly used elements included in the course lessons, where the content described in the previous section can be placed.

    These content building elements include:

A single course can contain all of these elements, they can be repeated, and so on.

    • Text and media area

Text and media area serves as a spacer on a Moodle course page.

It can be used to add text, images, multimedia or code in between other resources in the different sections.

It is a very versatile resource and can help to improve the appearance of a course if used thoughtfully. Banners or descriptions may be added here to distinguish between and highlight different areas.

Note that excessive use of multimedia (sound, video) in Text and media areas can slow down the loading of a course page.

  • ACTIVITY ELEMENTS

Activities are the interactive elements of a course that enable learners to participate, practice, collaborate, and be assessed. Unlike static resources (such as files, pages, or videos), activities require some form of student action—for example answering questions, submitting work, participating in discussions, or completing interactive learning paths.

Activities serve three major instructional functions in a course:

    1. Learning Interaction

Activities create active engagement with course material. Instead of only reading or watching content, learners must perform tasks such as:

    • answering questions
    • solving problems
    • participating in discussions
    • completing exercises

    2. Assessment and Evaluation

Many activities allow instructors to measure learning outcomes.

    • Automatic assesment – the system grades responses immediately (for example in a Quiz).
    • Manual assessment – the teacher reviews and evaluates submissions (for example in an Assignment).

Assessment activities can be used for: formative assessment (practice and feedback);  summative assessment (final grading);  self-evaluation by learners.

    3. Collaboration and Communication

Some activities focus on peer interaction and knowledge sharing. These help create a learning community where students: exchange ideas, discuss course topics, review each other's work, contribute content.

    Activities vs Resources (important distinction)

    Type  Purpose  Examples
Resources   Provide information  File, Page, URL, Book
Activities   Require learner interaction  Quiz, Assignment, Forum, Lesson

    For example:

    • Uploading a PDF lecture is a resource.

    • Completing a test or submitting a project is an activity.

    • This lesson has description about Quiz activity.

    • FINAL REMARKS & NEXT STEPS

      Course Development and Completion Guidelines

Throughout the process of creating and uploading course materials, further specifications regarding course completion criteria must be established, as discussed during previous online and on-site meetings.

      Courses Levels and Credits

For each course, its respective difficulty level - Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced, must be determined, along with the number of credits a student will earn upon successful completion. The total number of allocated credits will be provided by our team (following a cost and budget analysis).

Students will be able to utilize these credits within the NFT section of the platform to create NFT collections.

      Learning Path

In accordance with the conclusions reached at the Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) in Italy, the following learning path has been created and integrated into the platform:

      • Beginner Level: Upon completing all Beginner-level courses, the student gains access to Intermediate-level courses. Please note that Beginner courses do not yield any credits.

      • Intermediate Level (Individual Courses): Upon completing any single Intermediate-level course, the student earns a specific number of credits, which are added to their existing credit balance.

      • Intermediate Level (Full Completion): Upon completing all Intermediate-level courses, in addition to the accumulated credits, the student:

        • Gains access to Advanced-level courses.

        • Is assigned the role of "Workspace Member," granting them access to existing workspaces where they can participate in the ideation of NFTs.

      • Advanced Level (Individual Courses): Upon completing any single Advanced-level course, the student earns a specific number of credits, which are added to their existing credit balance.

      • Advanced Level (Full Completion): Upon completing all Advanced-level courses, in addition to the accumulated credits, the student:

        • Is assigned the role of "Workspace Creator," allowing them to create their own workspaces or access existing ones to participate in NFT ideation.

        • As a Workspace Creator, gains access to the NFT section of the platform for the creation and deployment of NFTs.

      Course Completion Criteria

      • Progression Prerequisites: Following the final upload of course lessons, completion prerequisites will be established for each lesson. The condition for progressing to the next module will be the successful completion of all lessons within the preceding module.

      • Final Quiz Access: Access to the final course quiz will be granted only after the successful completion of all modules within the course.

      • Passing Criteria: A course will be considered complete upon successfully passing the final quiz with a predetermined minimum grade (e.g., a score exceeding 80/100).

      • Certification: Upon successfully passing the final quiz, the student will automatically receive a course completion certificate along with the corresponding number of credits.

      Additional Course Blocks

Following the final addition of content to the courses, the determination of the course level, and the allocation of credits for each individual course, the Angor AG team will add the following elements to each course:

      • The Course Description Block: Visible to all platform visitors, this block displays the introductory section of the course, including a brief course description, learning outcomes, instructors, etc.

      • The Enrollment Block: This block displays the course difficulty level, the number of credits it yields, and related enrollment details.

      • The Progress Block: This block tracks and displays the individual learning progress for each student.

      • The Q&A Block: This comprises a list of questions and answers generated by the instructors within the hidden Q&A section (This Q&A section is located at the beginning of the course and remains visible exclusively to the course instructors).
